Job summary

DCI Donor Services, Inc. seeks a Clinical Educator to plan, develop, implement and deliver training for clinical staff across OPO locations.

You will create didactic and simulation-based modules, collaborate with clinical leaders, and ensure standards of practice are integrated into orientation and continuing education. The ideal candidate has a health-related bachelor's, 3+ years as an organ clinical coordinator with educator experience, RN or CPTC credential, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field; RN preferred.
• 3+ years as OPO organ clinical coordinator with educator/preceptor experience.
• RN licensure or CPTC credential required (CPTC preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create Clinical Training modules on didactic/continuing education topics and core donation processes.
• Develop and implement structured orientation with clinical leadership for all clinical staff.
• Maintain training/education calendar for clinical staff.
• Design and deliver scenario-based simulations and competency testing.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to coordinate continuing education for clinical staff.
• Maintain training files for clinical staff and update as needed.
• Assess training needs and implement training plans.
• Assist in training clinical preceptors.
• Precept new CSD staff members and new instructors.
• Partner with clinical leadership to identify training improvements, including desktop audits.
• Participate in data collection and business intelligence to drive donation outcomes.
• Support department organization and project management across DCIDS.
• Model DCIDS core values in professional conduct.
• Support initiatives to increase organ and tissue donation.
• Perform other related duties as required.
