Job summary

Atlantic Health in Morristown, NJ seeks an experienced nursing education leader to guide orientation and competency assessment for non-physician staff, promote standardized workflows, and enhance patient care. You will mentor staff, develop education programs, and oversee infection prevention and environment of care in collaboration with IP departments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred), BLS certification, and NJ nursing license, with 5+ years of ambulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Master's degree preferred in Nursing or related field.
• 5 years' experience in clinical, management experience in an ambulatory setting or relevant area.
• Certification in BLS and valid NJ nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Identify clinical and professional development needs of nursing staff; plan and deliver education.
• Develop and provide educational programs and conferences for staff and departments.
• Plan and implement quality improvement programs for clinical education and environment of care.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and interdisciplinary teams to align programs with system goals.
• Address issues to promote a productive, supportive work environment.
• Maintain and update clinical and non-clinical guidelines by writing policies and procedures.
• Promote safe, clean environments by designing procedures and enforcing regulations; coordinate with regulatory bodies.
• Develop and interpret infection-control policies and protocols; ensure proper medication handling.
• Communicate across health care teams, respond to requests, build rapport, and participate in problem solving.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
