Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• RN license in Massachusetts (MA) active.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification held.
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute healthcare nursing experience.
• Experience in the assigned clinical area.
• Experience and proficiency using an electronic medical record.
• Maintain certifications relevant to assigned clinical areas.
• (Preferred) Clinical Education experience.
• (Preferred) MSN degree.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, develop, implement, evaluate and revise education programs to meet clinical staff needs.
• Identify department content for learning modules and unit policies focusing on new-to-organization nurses.
• Maintain knowledge of Joint Commission and regulatory standards for inspections.
• Plan continuing education programs for nurses and other disciplines as needed.
• Provide clinical instruction for competency development and orientation for new staff.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess and improve clinical competencies.
• Develop education systems and curricula; ensure ongoing educational needs are met.
• Lead education initiatives with multidisciplinary teams and project involvement.
