Job summary

Kindred Hospital Louisville at Jewish Hospital, a 30-bed long-term acute care facility on the Jewish Hospital campus in downtown Louisville, seeks an Education Specialist to lead ongoing staff education and orientation. You will partner with department leaders to design and deliver training, coordinate annual education calendars, and support quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires a bachelor’s in nursing, RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least five years in acute care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Five years of experience in an acute care Medical/Surgical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate continuing education and in-service education for the hospital.
• Develop monthly education calendar.
• Plan and coordinate continuing and in-service education for the hospital.
• Collaborate with managers to evaluate staff competency.
• Forecast and administer education operating budget.
• Ensure compliance training and alignment with corporate standards.
• Develop scope of services, policies and procedures supporting hospital education.
