Job summary

The Echocardiography Diagnostic Technologist at Jefferson Health Northeast performs comprehensive echocardiographic examinations, including M-mode, 2D and Doppler studies, for clinical and research patients. S/he supports physicians and staff, helps coordinate patient flow, and ensures high-quality procedures aligned with IAC standards.

Required education includes a high school diploma or GED and a completed CAAHEP- or Cardiovascular Technology-accredited two-year program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited two-year echocardiography program or cardiovascular technology program.
• Registration by ARDMS or CCI preferred/required; BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete echocardiographic examinations including M-mode, two-dimensional and Doppler Echocardiography.
• Assist Cardiologist, Fellows or other personnel in transesophageal and stress echocardiographic procedures.
• Coordinate efficient patient flow and support staff to ensure high-quality procedures.
