Job summary

The Echocardiography Diagnostic Technologist at Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. in Turnersville, NJ conducts complete echocardiographic exams including 2D, M-mode and Doppler per IAC standards.

They assist physicians and may perform TEE and DSE exams, coordinate patient flow and maintain safety and documentation. Required: high school diploma/GED with a CAAHEP- or CCI-accredited training program; ARDMS/CCI certification; BCLS; and 1 year of echocardiogram experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of a two-year echocardiography training program accredited by the CAAHEP or a cardiovascular technology program accredited by CAAHEP.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms - 2D, M-mode, color Doppler per policy and orders.
• Performs trans-esophageal echocardiograms (TEE) as needed.
• Conducts dobutamine stress echocardiograms (DSE) and stress echocardiograms per policy.
• Logs patient/test data for accurate billing/records.
• Maintains and sanitizes equipment ensuring safety.
• Participates in on-call per policy.
