Job summary

Oak Street Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Medical Scribe to support our primary care providers with real-time documentation and efficient patient flow. You will observe visits, document encounters, and assist with CPT/ICD coding while contributing to a collaborative care team.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of medical terminology, clinical experience, and strong typing skills. This full-time role includes on-site work, 40 hours weekly, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience including shadowing or volunteering.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters in structured notes with HPI, assessment, plan, and exam.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare after-visit summaries.
• Support clinical documentation improvement and participate in daily huddles.
• Provide administrative support to the care team and clinicians.
