Qualifications

• 2 years of nursing or clinical coding experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications: AHIMA RHIA/RHIT/CCS or AAPC CIC or RN.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation and coding principles.
• Ability to initiate queries and communicate with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation for accuracy and coding alignment.
• Identify documentation gaps impacting coding and data integrity.
• Initiate queries to obtain clarification.
• Work with providers and care teams to ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain productivity and quality while managing work queues.
• Follow CDI workflows and documentation practices.
• Adapt to updates in regulations.
