Job summary

CorroHealth Inc. is seeking a CDI Specialist to collaborate with physicians and care teams to improve documentation quality for accurate DRG assignment. You will conduct chart reviews, issue queries, and ensure completeness in AHIMA-guided workflows.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license with at least two years of CDI and acute care experience; certifications such as CCDS/CDEI/CDIP or CCS/RHIT/RHIA are preferred or obtainable within 6 months.

Qualifications

• CCDS, CDEI, or CDIP certification required or willingness to obtain within 6 months from start date.
• Current clinical RN license.
• Two years CDI experience.
• Two years+ clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Coding professional with CCS or RHIT/RHIA and CDI credential.
• Experience with telecommuting and EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and staff to improve documentation quality and accuracy.
• Review records for severity of illness and risk of mortality; ensure DRG accuracy.
• Query providers to clarify documentation per AHIMA/ACDIS guidelines.
• Analyze findings and identify root causes of documentation errors.
• Maintain high accuracy and productivity across projects.
