Job summary

AdventHealth in Maitland, FL is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist to analyze medical record documentation for HCC accuracy and educate providers on coding best practices. You will serve as a subject matter expert, guide risk adjustment teams, and help ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM and CMS guidelines.

This role requires strong analytical skills, ability to work with physicians, and experience in a high-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of healthcare operations.
• Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and medical reporting.
• Strong background in ICD-10-CM coding.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to interact effectively with physicians and health care professionals.
• Ability to work independently daily.
• Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes medical record documentation for HCC accuracy and educational opportunities.
• Educates physicians and providers on accurate, complete coding.
• Actively participates in program development, execution and performance.
• Assists CDI team with recommendations for process improvements to enhance coding goals.
• Maintains knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CMS guidelines and state/federal regs.
• Communicates results and reports to leadership and cross-functional teams.
