Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a CLIN DOC INTGY COORDINATOR to serve as a clinical subject matter expert and liaison for the CDI, Coding, and Quality teams. You will perform second-level reviews of inpatient records to improve documentation integrity and support accurate coding.

Qualifications

• 3 years acute care hospital experience, preferably critical care.
• 3 years in a CDI program with knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS and gaps between documentation and coding.
• Experience developing and delivering education on CDI and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and liaison for CDI, Coding, and Quality teams; second-level reviews of records.
• Identify opportunities to improve medical record integrity and educate staff.
• Manage post-discharge/pre-bill work queues and review potential PSIs.
• Escalate queries to Physician Advisor when needed.
