Base pay range
$220,000.00/yr - $292,500.00/yr
Job Summary:
- As the Clinical Director of Adult Medicine, you will play a vital role in leading our adult medicine department to ensure the highest quality of patient care and clinical excellence. While this position typically requires substantial experience, we recognize that talent and potential can outweigh years of experience. Therefore, we are open to candidates with limited administrative experience who demonstrate the drive, dedication, and clinical knowledge necessary to excel in this role.
- Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Clinical Director, in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Practice Manager, and Director of Infectious Diseases, will provide oversight and leadership of the department. You will support the improvement of clinical operations, provider workflow, patient satisfaction, and financial performance. The Clinical Director will deliver direct clinical care as well as administrative oversight.
- Successful candidates can expect a compensation range of $220,000 - $292,500
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Ability to deliver high-quality patient care efficiently.
- Experience providing care to underserved populations with complex needs.
- Relevant business experience, especially in large health centers or private practices as a director or associate director.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and discipline of clinical staff.
- Familiarity with compliance issues related to clinical expertise.
- Experience supervising advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs).
- Ability to develop and participate in departmental strategic goals.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
- Data analysis skills and evidence-based decision-making ability.
- Experience contributing to enterprise projects.
- Proficiency with electronic health records.
- Initiative, judgment, discretion, and accountability.
- Alignment with organizational mission and core values.
License/Certification:
- Physician license in Connecticut (preferred).
