Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will serve as a key operational leader for Neurology clinics within the Health System, providing strategic oversight for assigned clinical disciplines across Westwood, Santa Monica, and community-based locations. This role is responsible for directing practice operations, supporting regional leadership, and partnering with physicians, practice managers, and staff to ensure exceptional patient care, operational excellence, quality outcomes, and an outstanding patient experience. You will also drive organizational performance through effective management of patient access, care coordination, clinical operations, and practice growth initiatives.

As the Clinical Director, you will lead strategic planning and infrastructure development to support the continued expansion and success of ambulatory and community practices. Responsibilities include oversight of financial performance, budgeting, revenue cycle operations, human resources, clinician onboarding and offboarding, quality and safety programs, policy implementation, and space utilization. In collaboration with executive and clinical leadership, you will foster a high-performing environment that supports innovation, clinical research, workforce development, and the delivery of world-class healthcare aligned with UCLA Health's mission and strategic objectives.

Salary Range: $132,300 - $307,100 Annual

Job Qualifications

• Master's degree (Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public health or related field) required or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Healthcare managerial experience required.
• Strategic leadership, planning and change managementskills.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of diplomacy in persuading and influencinga wide variety of people at various levels to achieveresults.
• Previous demonstrated expertise in managing patient services and nursing staffing in environment with a high volume of patient visits.
• Strong knowledge of industrystandards and/or regulatoryrequirements.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze all pertinent information/data to make and communicate decisions tomeet the unit's current and future needs.
• Effective interpersonal skills andpolitical acumenskills.
• Ability to establish a culture of integrity within their unit and with those externalto theunits.
• Strong knowledge of industrystandards, trends and/or regulatoryrequirements.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify patterns, and formulate conclusions.
• Skill in setting priorities, which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.
• Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, residents, medical students and staff from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds.
• Skill in communication, to clearly convey complex problems and proposals in both formal and informal situations.
• Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health.
• Working knowledge of research-oriented patient care systems (preferred).
• Advanced financial expertise inbudget planning and financialforecasting in healthcare (preferred).
• Knowledge of EPIC EHR (preferred).
