Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island in Providence, RI is seeking a clinical supervisor to oversee services in Residential programs serving youth aged 13-20. You will supervise clinicians, ensure high-quality trauma-informed care, and maintain fidelity to the TST model through training and program development.

Responsibilities include emergency crisis intervention when needed, collaboration with the Department of Children, Youth and Families, and carrying clinical cases as necessary.

Qualifications

• LICSW, LMHC or LMFT required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and auto insurance a must.
• Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
• Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.

Position Summary

FSRI has 4 residential intervention programs (Semi-Independent and Assessment & Stabilization) that serve youth ages 13-20. Provides supervision and management to clinicians across the programs. Ensures high quality evidence based and trauma informed care that meets resident’s needs and contractual standards. Ensures fidelity to the TST model through training, supervision, and program development. Builds and maintains positive relationships with the Department of Children, Youth and Families. Assists Residential Administration with continuous program development, implementation and improvement. Carries clinical cases as necessary. Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Travel to and from community locations and residential site locations, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
• Utilize a computer and Electronic Medical Record to complete documentation.
• Lift up to 20lbs.
• Communicate effectively.
• Push or pull 10 lbs or more.
• Pick up 10 lbs or more.
• Perform physical intervention if clients present a threat to themselves or others.
