Utilizes sound management principles to maintain a motivated and stable staff. Manages resident health and wellness through regular resident monitoring and communication to the community Wellness team, residents’ primary care providers and other health services providers. Engages in ongoing personal development in geriatric care, leadership skills, communication skills, and management skills. May be asked to assume responsibilities of the Executive Director in their absence to maintain smooth community operation.**Essential Functions and Responsibilities*** Ensures the CAPLICO Core Values and Code of Conduct are adhered to at all times.* Ensures compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies at all times.* Establishes and maintains positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all residents, staff, families, and community guests. Ensures orientation and welcoming process occurs for all new residents and new staff.* Manages the Wellness department staff.* Interviews, hires, orients, coaches, counsels, and evaluates Wellness staff. Supports professional growth of staff.* Encourages teamwork, promotes wellness philosophy, and supports open communication and collaborative problem solving.
