Job summary

Venture BHM in Jonesboro, GA is seeking a Clinical Director to own the primary mental health treatment program and lead the clinical team. You will ensure evidence-based care and drive continuous program improvement while maintaining licensing and accreditation readiness.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the clinical model and programming.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise therapists and clinical staff.

• Carry a limited caseload and lead crisis response and risk assessment.

About the Facility

Venture BHM is recruiting on behalf of a primary mental health treatment center in Jonesboro, GA (Clayton County). This program treats adults whose primary diagnosis is mental health, not substance use, and is looking for a Clinical Director to lead its clinical team.

The Role

We're looking for a Clinical Director who knows primary mental health inside and out: mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and serious mental illness. You'll own the clinical program, lead and develop the team, and make sure every client gets care that actually moves the needle. What You’ll Do

• Lead and continuously improve the clinical model, group curriculum, and programming schedule
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise therapists and clinical staff
• Provide clinical supervision and case consultation to licensed and associate-level clinicians
• Oversee psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning for individualized, high-quality care
• Ensure delivery of evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-focused therapies, and family work
• Maintain compliance with Georgia licensing and accreditation standards (Joint Commission or CARF)
• Conduct chart audits and lead quality improvement to keep documentation compliant and timely
• Partner with psychiatry, nursing, and executive leadership on integrated care
• Carry a limited caseload and lead crisis response and risk assessment as needed

What You Bring

• Active, independent Georgia license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
• 3+ years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience in a primary mental health setting (residential, inpatient, PHP, or crisis stabilization)
• Strong clinical expertise in mood, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders
• CPCS (Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor) or equivalent supervisory credential preferred
• DBT training or certification is a plus
• Experience with licensing or accreditation surveys
• A steady, hands-on leadership style that builds strong, accountable teams
