Job summary

USPI Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a Clinical Director to lead day-to-day operations across OR, Pre-OP/PACU, and SPD in a high-volume ambulatory setting.

The role reports to the ASC Administrator and focuses on improving efficiency, patient experience, and staff performance while upholding clinical standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Nursing leadership experience and strong clinical oversight are required.
• Experience managing OR, Pre-OP/PACU, and SPD workflows is essential.
• Active RN license in Nevada is required; BLS/ACLS certifications must be current.
• Prior supervisory roles in outpatient surgery settings are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of clinical areas (OR, Pre-OP/PACU, SPD).
• Collaborate with ASC Administrator to ensure fiscal accountability and policy updates.
• Monitor staff credentialing, safety, risk management and patient care quality.

We have 5 operating rooms offering a full range of surgical procedures including: Bariatrics, Colorectal, General Surgery/Robotics, GI, OB/Gynecology, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Podiatry.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clinical areas (including OR, Pre-OP/PACU, and SPD) and implements process initiatives to improve efficiency of services and patient experience. The Clinical Director will report to the ASC Administrator and will collaborate with them to promote fiscal accountability, develop and revise policies, and evaluate staff performance. The Clinical Director will oversee staff credentialing, preventative safety measures, risk management duties, and use their clinical and leadership experience to enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.

Required Skills:

• Graduate of a professional school of Nursing. BSN or higher degree preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Nevada.
• Must have Operating Room experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in the outpatient surgery area.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position
• Current certification in BLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support accredited by AHA.
