Job summary

Los Angeles Outpatient Center seeks a Clinical Director to lead and supervise therapists in our Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs. Based onsite in Culver City, you will oversee clinical quality, documentation, and program development while maintaining a clinical caseload.

You will partner with Executive leadership to drive outcomes, retention, and service excellence, fostering a collaborative, evidence-based treatment culture.

Qualifications

• Active California license (LMFT or LCSW) with no restrictions.
• Master's degree or higher in behavioral health field.
• Experience supervising licensed clinicians.
• Leadership experience managing clinical staff.
• Experience in PHP, IOP, residential or comparable settings.
• Strong understanding of clinical documentation, confidentiality, crisis intervention, and payer requirements.
• Proven ability to build teams, drive accountability, and improve processes.
• Excellent communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive and interdisciplinary leaders to support clinical excellence and program success.
• Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and leadership to licensed therapists and staff.
• Review and approve clinical documentation for timeliness, regulatory compliance, and quality.
• Facilitate weekly therapist meetings, case consultations, and evidence-based treatment discussions.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing clinical education of staff.
• Guide treatment planning, client care coordination, and clinical triage based on acuity and program needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client outcomes and retention.
• Support accreditation, HIPAA compliance, risk management, and survey readiness.
• Deliver coverage for assessments, treatment planning, and group facilitation as needed.
• Foster a high-performing clinical culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

Drive Clinical Quality, Team Development, and Program Performance as Clinical Director

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Clinical Director serves as the onsite clinical leader for LAOP's Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs. This role provides supervision, mentorship, quality oversight, and operational support while maintaining an active clinical caseload and ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partner with the Executive Director, Medical Director, Program Director, and interdisciplinary leadership team to support clinical excellence and program success
• Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and leadership to licensed therapists and clinical staff
• Review and approve clinical documentation to ensure timely completion, regulatory compliance, and quality standards
• Facilitate weekly therapist meetings, case consultations, and evidence-based treatment discussions
• Support therapist onboarding, training, professional development, and ongoing clinical education
• Guide treatment planning, client care coordination, and clinical triage based on acuity and program needs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives designed to enhance client outcomes, retention, and service delivery
• Conduct chart audits and monitor compliance with payer requirements and clinical standards
• Support CARF accreditation efforts, HIPAA compliance, risk management practices, and survey readiness activities
• Assist with performance management through coaching, feedback, development planning, and accountability measures
• Address clinical, operational, and workplace challenges while fostering collaboration and trust among team members
• Analyze program data and outcomes to support value-based care initiatives and organizational goals
• Provide individual and group therapy services as needed based on census, staffing, and clinical requirements
• Deliver coverage support for assessments, treatment planning, group facilitation, and client care services when necessary
• Help build a high-performing clinical culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and exceptional client care
