Job Summary:

The Clinical Director oversees the clinical and educational operations of the programs, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based services rooted in harm reduction and trauma-informed care. The role involves leading counseling staff in providing brief interventions, holistic services, individual and group therapy, and supporting patients through treatment and aftercare. The director ensures that diversionary services offer meaningful treatment aligned with Bay Cove’s mission.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the Assistant Clinical Director and all Diversionary Services staff, including interns.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide clinical oversight, training, and supervision to staff to enhance engagement and service quality.
  • Manage records to ensure compliance with regulations, train staff on documentation, and review records regularly.
  • Ensure timely completion of assessments and treatment plans, reviewing for compliance with regulations.
  • Deliver and oversee at least four hours of evidence-based clinical programming daily, including group and individual therapy.
  • Coordinate services such as overdose prevention, substance use disorder therapies, mental health services, relapse prevention, family support, and transitional planning.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary team reviews and document outcomes.
  • Develop and revise policies to promote equitable access to services.
  • Serve as an on-duty administrative resource in the absence of senior leadership.
  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention during scheduled hours and on-call shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling).
  • Minimum two years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience.
  • Licensure as an LADC I or equivalent.
  • At least one year of clinical supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Google Apps.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
