Job summary

The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth is looking for a School-based Counselor to join our clinical leadership team in Audubon, PA. The role includes recruiting for school-based mental health positions, onboarding staff, and providing direct supervision to licensed and unlicensed practitioners.

You will oversee documentation, licensure compliance, and promote evidence-based practices while collaborating with supervisors to improve service delivery for children and families.

The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth1100 Adams Ave | Audubon, PA 19403(610) 277-3715 | [e-mail] DESCRIPTION: SCHOOL-BASED COUNSELORPosition Summary:The Clinical Director recruits, hires, trains, and supervises the agency’s unlicensed and licensed practitioners, including school-based mental health counselors, social workers, crisis intervention specialists, and behavioral analysts.Duties & ResponsibilitiesRecruit for all open school-based mental health positions for the companyHire, train, and onboard all new counselors, social workers, behavioral analysts, crisis intervention specialists, college/career coaches, school climate coachesProvide direct, individual clinical supervision for licensed and unlicensed mental health staffFacilitates group supervision or case-conferences as requiredMonitor caseloads and ensure that supervisees comply with all agency, clinical, legal, and ethical practicesProvide ongoing, regular feedback and evaluation to staff on the quality and timeliness of their clinical workCounsel, motivate, and conduct performance reviewsOversee work procedures for all mental health professionalsEnsure staff comply with licensure and registration requirementsEnsure compliance, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentationEnhance operations by ensuring sufficient staffing and adequate access to servicesDevelop programs and ensuring compliance with procedures and policiesIdentify training needs and make recommendations to agency’s learning and development directorSkills & Knowledge:Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma, chemical dependency,dual diagnosis, domestic violence and sexually exploited minorsHighly skilled at supervising individual and family therapy and engaging caregivers in treatmentDemonstrated knowledge and experience with foster care and child welfare systems and services, community mental health, and/or community psychology modelsCompetent in working with psychological issues related race, ethnicity and classCollaboration and team functioning - able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, able to proactively collaborate with other supervisors and program directors to ensure the best possible training for supervisees and service delivery for clientsAble to work effectively in an organizational setting and understand how to utilize the chain of command to resolve problems and bring program development ideas forwardAbility to proactively collaborate with other supervisors and program directors to ensure the best possible training for supervisees and service delivery for clients.Efficiency and time managementExcellent interpersonal, communication and writing skillsKnowledge of or ability to learn Medi-Cal reimbursement procedures and billingEducation & Experience:Master’s degree in counseling or social work requiredLicensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation requiredAt least five years of supervisory experience in a similar roleOther Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
