Job description

Join to apply for the Clinical Dietitian - Surgery role at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The position involves providing pediatric medical nutrition therapy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and managing nutrition care for patients across various ages, from infancy through adolescence. Candidates with a background or interest in surgical/critical care nutrition and pediatric nutrition are preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing nutritional assessments, developing care plans, and documenting outcomes.
  2. Screening patients for nutritional risks and initiating appropriate interventions.
  3. Providing nutrition counseling and education to patients and families.
  4. Participating in education, training, and development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related field required; Master's preferred.
  • At least six months of pediatric nutrition therapy experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in mathematical calculations required.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligible within 6 months; PA licensure required.
