Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Registered Dietitian to develop and implement nutrition care plans for diverse patient populations at our Atlanta-area facility.

The role requires GA licensure and a Certified Specialist credential or eligibility within two years, with a focus on evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary teamwork. Weekend/evening shifts and ongoing education are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition required.
• Registered Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (CDR) required.
• Current Georgia Dietitian licensure.
• Specialized training in the indicated population.
• Certified Specialist as recognized by governing body (e.g., CNSC, CSO, CSR) or be certified within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement nutritional care plans for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Prioritize high-risk patients using daily Dietitian Census Reports.
• Initiate supplements, snacks, calorie counts, and texture modifications as needed.
• Incorporate evidence-based research into clinical practice.
• Liaise between Nutritional Services and Medical/Nursing staff and other departments.
• Provide nutritional counseling to patients and families.
• Work flexible hours including weekends and evening shifts.
