Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a Registered Dietitian to plan modified diets and provide nutritional assessments in accordance with Life Care standards. The role oversees food services and collaborates with physicians and the care team.

The candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, active registration/licensure, and at least two years in a health-care setting, ideally post-acute care. Strong ethics and confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or related program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Active registration/licensure per State requirements and must maintain an active license in good standing
• Registered with American Dietetic Association
• Two years' experience in a health care facility; post-acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Consult with patient and family concerning nutrition needs and goals
• Check menu plans to ensure they meet nutritional needs of patients and quality food service standards
• Plan modified diets for patients as requested by attending physician
• Input dietary information accurately and in a timely manner (patient charting, dietary database)
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Patient Care meetings involving nutrition
• Assist with other food service duties as required
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in the evacuation of patients
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance

Education

Bachelor's degree in dietetics or related program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Active licensure or certification per State requirements (maintain current license)

Registered with American Dietetic Association

Two (2) years' experience in a health care facility; post-acute care preferred
