Job summary

We are seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. The role involves identifying and assessing the nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiating interventions to maintain nutritional status, and enhancing quality of life aligned with patient goals.

Responsibilities include providing nutritional expertise to the care team, educating staff and residents, and ensuring compliance with practice standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification or eligibility per CDR/AND requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining services and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
