Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a Dietitian to develop and manage nutritional care programs for Continuing Care residents. You will collaborate with dining operations and interdisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality nutrition care.

You will monitor nutritional status, educate residents and staff, oversee food production systems, and contribute to QA, with opportunities for professional growth in a diverse, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian credentials required.
• Experience in health care food service management and clinical nutrition preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical and administrative dietetics, including issues in terminal illness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on assessments and integrate into care plans.
• Monitor and document nutritional status of Continuing Care residents and report findings.
• Evaluate discharge summaries for Home Health and Hospice residents and ensure nutrition accountability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide nutrition counseling and education.
• Educate residents on dietary plans and adapt recommendations to individual needs.
• Oversee food production systems, sanitation, and menu compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support supervision, training, and evaluation of dining services staff.
• Conduct QA audits and maintain confidentiality and safety of records.
• Ensure services comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Job description

Location: Riderwood Village by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Dietitian. In this role, develop and manage nutritional care programs to enhance the quality of life for Erickson Community residents. Ensure compliance with all regulations and support dining operations in Continuing Care.

How you will make an impact

• Educate on dietary plans, food selection, and adapt recommendations to individual needs
• Oversee food production systems, sanitation, and menu compliance with regulatory standards
• Contribute to the supervision, training, and evaluation of dining services staff
• Conduct Quality Assurance audits and maintain confidentiality and safety of records
• Ensure all services and programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Maintain professional knowledge, registration, and licensure, while fostering effective relationships with team members and residents

What you will need

• Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Experience in health care food service management and clinical nutrition preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize clinical and administrative dietetics including issues in persons with terminal illness
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written, initiative to recognize a problem and develop a plan of correction
• Flexible schedule; available for evenings, weekend, and holiday shifts
