Job summary

Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living in Springfield, VA seeks a Clinical Dietitian to lead personalized nutrition care for continuing care residents, developing care plans, educating residents, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. This role offers 32 hours per week with benefits, onsite facilities, and opportunities for growth in a supportive, mission-driven senior living community.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Experience in health care food service management and clinical nutrition preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical and administrative dietetics including issues in terminal illness.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written; initiative to plan corrective actions.
• Flexible schedule; evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on assessments for residents.
• Monitor and document nutritional status and report findings.
• Evaluate, document, and report on nutritional needs and discharge summaries for residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide nutritional counseling and education.
• Educate residents on dietary plans and adapt recommendations to individual needs.
• Oversee food production systems, sanitation, and menu compliance with standards.
• Contribute to supervision, training, and evaluation of dining staff.
• Conduct Quality Assurance audits and maintain confidentiality and safety of records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Compensation

Compensation: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour, based on experience

How you will make an impact

• Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on assessments, integrating them into overall care plans
• Monitor and document the nutritional status of Continuing Care residents and report findings
• Evaluate, document, and report on nutritional needs and discharge summaries for Home Health and Hospice residents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide nutritional counseling and education
• Educate on dietary plans, food selection, and adapt recommendations to individual needs
• Oversee food production systems, sanitation, and menu compliance with regulatory standards
• Contribute to the supervision, training, and evaluation of dining services staff
• Conduct Quality Assurance audits and maintain confidentiality and safety of records
• Ensure all services and programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Maintain professional knowledge, registration, and licensure, while fostering effective relationships with team members and residents

What you will need

• Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Experience in health care food service management and clinical nutrition preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize clinical and administrative dietetics including issues in persons with terminal illness
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written, initiative to recognize a problem and develop a plan of correction
• Flexible schedule; available for evenings, weekend, and holiday shifts
