Overview

Clinical Dietitian - Oncology

Part Time; FTE 0.6 (24 hours/week)

Moline, IL

Plans and provides patient nutritional care; performs nutritional assessments, calculates nutrient needs, educates and counsels patients and families; participates in the development or revision of departmental policies and procedures; and contributes to planning and conducting in-service education programs. Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans based on the patient’s diagnosis and individual needs.

Responsibilities

Key Accountability

• Interact directly with patients, healthcare staff, physicians, and the public, maintaining positive relations with all.

• Utilize various computer systems, including EMR, Online Nutrition Care Manual, MS Office, etc. Demonstrate high-level proficiency in healthcare information systems.

• Work independently and proactively seek information to coordinate activities and complete tasks.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics

• Dietetic Internship or CDR-approved equivalent

Licenses/Certifications:

• CDR Registration as Dietitian

• Iowa & Illinois Licensure as Dietitian

Experience:

• Experience with computers

• Experience with patient nutrition care

• Experience with customer service
