Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Leavenworth, Kansas, seeks a Clinical Dietitian to independently plan and direct nutrition care for Veterans with complex needs, using the Nutrition Care Process. You will collaborate with Food Operations to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.

The role requires RDN/RD credentials and expertise in evidence-based practice, record keeping, and virtual care delivery to improve access and care quality.

Qualifications

• United States citizenship required.
• RDN or RD registered with CDR.
• Non-credentialed dietitians may be eligible for a temporary appointment.
• Must have degree from a regionally accredited college.
• ACEND accreditation/experiential verification required for non-RDN.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments for patients using the NCP.
• Develop and implement Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
• Document care plans and MNT in the medical record.
• Utilize virtual care technology to improve access to care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support patient care.
