The State of North Carolina seeks a Clinical Dietitian at the Murdoch Developmental Center. This full-time role involves providing specialized nutrition services for individuals with diverse needs, conducting assessments, and leading nutrition education. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical dietary experience and a passion for helping others.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide highly specialized/individualized nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy to persons living at MDC with a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses/conditions, including but not limited to dysphagia, swallowing, and feeding difficulties/behaviors, developmental disorders/autism, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, gastrointestinal disorders, metabolic disorders, inborn errors of metabolism, food allergies/intolerances. The primary duties of the Clinical Dietitian include nutritional assessment and documentation for an assigned caseload, meeting attendance, and nutrition education/training.
Scheduled work hours/shift options: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 5 days per week.
This is a full-time position and is eligible for the full state benefits package including health insurance, paid sick/vacation/holidays, retirement, etc.
