Job summary

Sleep Rx is seeking a Registered Dietitian to promote optimal nutrition and health outcomes across diverse patient populations in clinical settings. The role focuses on medical nutrition therapy, diet planning, and education to empower patients.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, document progress in the EHR, and supervise dietetic interns to maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• RDN credential from an accredited program.
• Clinical nutrition experience including MNT, weight management, and chronic disease care.
• Knowledge of digestion and metabolism physiology.
• Experience with geriatrics or specialized dietary interventions.
• Strong counseling and motivational interviewing skills.
• Supervising experience in a healthcare or dietary department setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and data management.
• Understanding of dietary department operations in acute or long-term care.
• Ability to assess patients and tailor care plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient nutrition assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans including MNT.
• Provide nutrition counseling and health coaching.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare providers.
• Document assessments and care plans in EHR.
• Supervise dietetic interns or junior staff.
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients on dietary modifications for geriatrics, long-term care, acute care or special needs.
