Job summary

Villa Healthcare seeks a Registered Dietitian to join our team in providing nourished, patient-centered meals per residents’ care plans. You will plan meals, guide nutritional therapy, and document patient intake to keep the care team aligned.

You will collaborate with the kitchen, monitor weight and nutrition risk, and lead Nutrition at Risk meetings while adhering to safety, sanitation, and charting standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in dietetics or nutrition required.
• CADE-approved dietetic technician program completion.
• Experience in long-term care facility preferred.
• Industrial food production experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans patient meals and updates care plans.
• Provides diet instruction and counseling to residents and families.
• Monitors weight changes and intervenes for nutrition risk.
• Holds Nutrition at Risk meetings with care team.
• Supports kitchen in menu development and substitutions as needed.
• Follows care plans and charting requirements.
• Monitors sanitation and temperature logs.
• Documents patient intake and communicates plans to staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
