Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Clinical Dietitian at Pen Bay Hospital to direct and coordinate nutrition care for patients in assigned clinical areas. You will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians and the health team.

Responsibilities include communicating with care teams, contributing to care plans, and supporting quality outcomes. A Bachelor's in Dietetics, state licensure, and CDR registration are required; RD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics/Nutritional Sciences from an accredited college.
• Current state license as a Dietitian required; CDR registration required.
• Two years of RD experience preferred in acute care inpatients and/or outpatients.

Summary:
The Clinical Dietitian role directs and coordinates nutritional care to patients in assigned clinical areas. Responsible for performing nutritional assessments, developing, and implementing care plans, educating patients, and communicating with physicians and health team members.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutritional Sciences from an accredited college or university required.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Dietitian required. Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration required. Positions in Home Care will require a valid Driver's License to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
3. Experience: Two years of experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD) conducting nutritional assessments and developing treatment plans for acute care inpatients and/or outpatients preferred.

The pay range for this position is $29.45to $39.84 per hour.
