Job summary

You will communicate nutrition data across systems and participate in health team meetings as the resident nutrition expert.

The role requires knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy, RD registration, and the ability to assess patients, design care plans, and educate patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy and ability to plan, develop, and deliver interventions.
• Ability to assess patients and implement treatment plans.
• Knowledge of education concepts to teach about food and nutrition.
• Understanding of menu planning and nutritious meals for patients and staff.
• Familiarity with dietary guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Customer service mindset to meet patient and family needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs nutritional assessments using age and gender appropriate standards and tools.
• Implements targeted nutrition interventions and provides education to patients/families.
• Develops intervention plans with feeding routes and prescriptions tailored to needs.
• Collaborates with Food and Nutrition Services to enhance patient experience and diet order accuracy.
