Job summary

The Miami VA Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Clinical Dietitian to support Nutrition & Food Service and VA academic hospital programs. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability to VA standards.

Required RDN credential, US citizenship, and ability to provide patient‑centered nutrition care using the Nutrition Care Process. Experience with geriatric and enteral nutrition is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience using Nutrition Care Process (NCP) for nutrition assessments and care planning.
• Ability to apply evidence‑based nutrition practices to improve patient outcomes.
• Develop patient‑centered goals and monitor progress.
• Analyze data for performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Comply with accrediting, regulatory, and VA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments using the NCP and develop care plans.
• Coordinate with the food service and clinical units to support patient dining experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of clinical activities and patient encounters.
• Apply evidence-based nutrition guidelines to clinical practice and quality initiatives.
