Villa Healthcare in Rose City, Michigan seeks a Registered Dietitian to join our team and support resident nutrition plans, plan meals, counsel residents and families, and document progress with the care team.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with understanding of dietary terms.
• Keeps current in clinical nutrition, dietetics, food system management, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Understands and follows nutritional requirements for population.
• Provides diet instruction and counseling to residents and families.
• Monitors weight changes and determines interventions for nutrition risk.
• Holds Nutrition at Risk meetings with the care team.
• Supports kitchen in menu development and substitutions.
• Follows resident assessment, care plan, and charting requirements.
• Plans patient meals and updates staff with plans.
• Monitors sanitation and completes dining services checklist.
• Stores and handles food, maintains temperature logs.
• Ensures kitchen safety and disaster preparedness.
• Analyzes patient data to determine needs or goals.
• All other duties as assigned.
