Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide advanced medical nutrition therapy within a clinical setting in Virginia Beach.

You will use the Nutrition Care Process with support from senior dietitians and mentor new staff, interns, and technicians while applying the latest evidence-based care with interdisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes complex nutrition management, behavior-change counseling, and the integration of technology for nutrition goals, including

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• For grads after 1 Jan 2024, master’s degree required by an accredited university.
• Completion of ACEND accredited DP/DI/CP or graduate-level program.
• State licensure or certification in the primary state of practice.
• If licensure is required, obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to apply Nutrition Care Process across populations and diseases.
• Ability to apply evidence-based research to clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals with specialized health conditions.
• Uses Nutrition Care Process with advanced guidance from dietitians.
• Employs advanced counseling techniques to influence behavior change.
• Utilizes nutrition technology for estimates and goals (calorimetry, software, glucometers).
• Mentors newly graduated dietitians, interns, and clinical staff.
• Applies research to improve patient outcomes.
• Implements evidence-based care with interdisciplinary team.
• Manages nutrition care across continuum including equipment order writing.
• RDN order writing privileges per policy.
