Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or registration eligible.
• Master’s degree by an accredited university for registration eligible candidates (post Jan 1, 2024).
• Completion of ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate‑level competency‑based program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) as a Clinical Dietitian (RD/RDN) to patients in acute care and specialized populations.
• Apply the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, and manage complex nutrition needs in a hospital setting.
• Provide advanced nutrition counseling to support behavior change and improve patient outcomes.
• Utilize clinical nutrition tools and technology to develop personalized care plans.
• Support and mentor dietetic interns, new graduate dietitians, and clinical nutrition staff.
• Implement evidence-based nutrition practices in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Manage nutrition care across the continuum, including discharge planning.
