Job Overview

Work shift: Day – 8 hours (United States of America). The Dietitian is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality food and nutrition services through the food services and nutritional assessment and screening functions. They perform established procedures in accordance with dietary services and hospital policies, nutrition standards and physician orders. They demonstrate skills in performing standards of care, directing dietary services personnel and achieving objectives for Dietetic Services.

Qualifications

• Education & Training: Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Institutional Management or Foods and Nutrition.
• Experience: One (1) year experience in a health care or food service setting as a Registered Dietitian, or as a Dietetic Intern.
• Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible. Georgia licensure by the Board of Examiners of Licensed Dietitians or Provisional License and obtaining licensure within 3 months of hire.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Utilizes standard supplies and computers for assessment of patients’ nutritional status and patient education. Utilizes food service equipment as necessary.

Work Schedule

Scheduled weekly hours: 40 FTE: 1. Expanded work shift: On call.
