Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for new and existing residents.
• Evaluate dietary needs and develop individualized nutrition interventions based on medical conditions, preferences, and nutritional goals.
• Make appropriate recommendations regarding therapeutic diets, supplements, and diet modifications.
• Monitor residents' nutritional status and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
• Assess and manage specialized nutritional needs, including enteral nutrition and complex dietary requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and clinical meetings.
• Communicate effectively with nursing, medical, dietary, and other clinical staff regarding residents' nutritional needs.
• Review and monitor meal service to ensure prescribed diets and dietary modifications are appropriately implemented.
• Provide guidance regarding appropriate food textures, consistencies, and therapeutic diets.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
• Stay current with applicable regulations, professional standards, and best practices related to nutrition and long-term care.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and other clinical responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Dietitian credential required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
