Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a dedicated professional for its new rehabilitation facility in Plano, Texas. This full-time position focuses on providing essential nutritional care, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines, and managing patient menus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in dietetics or nutrition related field.
  • Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • State licensure/certification, if required by state.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes annual competency testing and maintains professional growth.
  • Follows regulations, company policies, and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Participates in the planning of the department budget.
  • Provides oversight of the menu management process.
  • Reviews and approves all patient menus in the facility.

Texas Rehabilitation of Plano is a brand‑new 40 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026. We offer high‑quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients in need. Our teams provide evidence‑based, transformational care for a broad range of rehabilitation concerns in a compassionate, comfortable environment.

How You'll Contribute
  • Completes annual competency testing and maintains professional growth and development portfolio to maintain registration and licensure/certification
  • Performs job based on applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company policies and procedures, and evidence‑based clinical guidelines
  • Performs job within defined scope of practice
  • Participates in the planning of the department budget
  • Participates in planning and creating the hospital's strategic plan to achieve the mission and vision of the hospital
  • Participates in implementing policies and procedures related to nutrition care of the patient
  • Participates in the hospital's performance improvement program by conducting, aggregating, trending, and acting on data for key clinical nutrition indicators
  • Provides oversight of the menu management process
  • Reviews and approves all patient menus in the facility; must approve any substitutions provided to patients
  • Provides oversight for the transcription of diet orders in the department to ensure accuracy

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in dietetics or nutrition related field. Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
