Job summary

Erickson Senior Living in Cedar Crest Village, Pompton Plains, NJ, seeks a Per Diem Dietitian to develop and manage nutritional care programs for Continuing Care residents. The role emphasizes compliance with regulations and collaboration with dining operations.

You will create care plans from assessments, monitor nutrition, and educate on dietary plans. Flexible schedule with evenings, weekends, and holidays; compensation is $45 per hour.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Experience in health care food service management and clinical nutrition preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical and administrative dietetics including issues in terminal illness.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to develop corrective plans.
• Flexible schedule; evenings, weekends, and holidays available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on assessments.
• Monitor and document nutritional status of Continuing Care residents.
• Evaluate discharge summaries for Home Health and Hospice residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide nutritional counseling.
• Educate on dietary plans and meal choices for individual needs.
• Oversee food production systems, sanitation, and menu compliance with regulations.
• Contribute to supervision, training, and evaluation of dining staff.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain confidentiality and safety of records.
• Ensure services comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain professional knowledge, registration, and licensure.

Join our team as a Per Diem Dietitian. In this role, develop and manage nutritional care programs to enhance the quality of life for Erickson Community residents. Ensure compliance with all regulations and support dining operations in Continuing Care.

Make your own schedule! We are looking for someone to cover one or two 8 hour shifts/week.

How you will make an impact

• Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on assessments, integrating them into overall care plans
• Monitor and document the nutritional status of Continuing Care residents and report findings
• Evaluate, document, and report on nutritional needs and discharge summaries for Home Health and Hospice residents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide nutritional counseling and education
• Educate on dietary plans, food selection, and adapt recommendations to individual needs
• Oversee food production systems, sanitation, and menu compliance with regulatory standards
• Contribute to the supervision, training, and evaluation of dining services staff
• Conduct Quality Assurance audits and maintain confidentiality and safety of records
• Ensure all services and programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Maintain professional knowledge, registration, and licensure, while fostering effective relationships with team members and residents

What you will need

• Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Experience in health care food service management and clinical nutrition preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize clinical and administrative dietetics including issues in persons with terminal illness
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written, initiative to recognize a problem and develop a plan of correction
• Flexible schedule; available for evenings, weekend, and holiday shifts

Compensation: $45/hour
