St. Davids Georgetown Hospital is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join the inpatient consult team. You will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy, counsel outpatients, and coordinate with the dietary staff and physicians. Qualified candidates hold a Registered Dietitian credential and Texas licensure.
The role includes weekend/holiday coverage and back-up support to cover leaves, with opportunities to participate in PI projects and staff development.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Dietitian will be responsible for inpatient consults. Will act as a resource to the Dietary Manager and Dietary staff and will assist with special projects and PI as requested by the Director. Must be able to work well with patients, the hospital staff and medical staff. Must be a Registered Dietitian and hold a current Texas license.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responds to inpatient dietary consults and related chart documentation.
2. Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to outpatients as well as out-patient counseling as requested.
3. Schedule MNT appointments and bill the service through Meditech flowing each session.
4. Provide Admission with an outpatient schedule, including physician referrals, weekly.
5. In the absence of the Director, and when requested, respond to inpatient dietary consults and related chart documentation.
6. Act as a resource for the Dietary Manager and Dietary staff.
7. Special projects as requested.
8. Assist with PI as requested.
9. Provides weekend & holiday Dietitian coverage for the department.
10. Back-up Registered Dietitian services as needed to cover for vacation/sick leave.
