Schedule and Compensation

  • Full-time, 40 hours weekly
  • 8 am - 4:30 pm, on call every other weekend
  • Pay Range: $38 to $43.26 hourly

Job Description

Our long-term care dietitians support residents' well-being by creating personalized meal plans, promoting healthy eating, and aiding recovery from illness or injury. Responsibilities include assessing nutritional needs, developing medical nutrition therapies, collaborating with the care team, and providing nutrition education to residents, families, and staff.

  • Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, determining nutrition and dietary goals and monitoring progress.
  • Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy following best practices and standards of care.
  • Educate residents and families on nutrition to support overall health.
  • Assess residents’ nutritional needs and tailor recommendations.
  • Create meal plans reflecting residents’ preferences, needs, and budgets.
  • Offer guidance on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related concerns.
  • Support recovery by creating nutrition plans for residents healing from illness or injury.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with required coursework and supervised practice as per ACEND standards.
  • For those eligible for the registration exam before 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with required coursework and supervised practice as per ACEND standards.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with older adults, required.
