Job summary

Lincoln Hospital, part of MaineHealth, seeks a Registered Dietitian to join the Wellness & Rehabilitation Department. You will provide nutrition care across inpatient and outpatient settings within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

You will work with therapists and diabetes educators to improve patient health, function, and quality of life through nutrition therapy and education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutritional Sciences from an accredited college or university.
  • Current applicable state license as a Dietitian and RD registration.
  • Driver's license may be required for Home Care positions.
  • Two years of experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized nutrition care plans
  • Providing inpatient nutrition consultations and interventions
  • Delivering outpatient medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling
  • Educating patients and families on disease management, healthy lifestyle practices, and therapeutic diets
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
  • Participating in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives

Lincoln Hospital is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our dynamic Wellness & Rehabilitation Department, where nutrition care is fully integrated into a multidisciplinary approach to patient wellness and recovery.

This unique role offers the opportunity to work closely with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Diabetes Education professionals, creating a highly collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional patient-centered care. As a valued member of our team, you will play an essential role in helping patients improve their health, function, and quality of life across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

What You'll Do

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutritional Sciences from an accredited college or university required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Dietitian required. Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration required. Positions in Home Care will require a valid Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  • Experience: Two years of experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD) conducting nutritional assessments and developing treatment plans for acute care inpatients and/or outpatients preferred.

The pay range for this position is $61,256.00to $82,867.20per year.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
