Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL seeks a Clinical Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition care as part of the health care team. The role includes assessing patient needs, creating and implementing care plans, and counseling across age groups from neonates to geriatrics.

Under supervision, you will support Nutrition Services, maintain records, and contribute to a high-quality patient experience in Palm Beach County’s coastal community.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Licensed Dietitian credential.
• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs of patients and develop nutritional care plans.
• Implement nutritional care plans and document in patient records.
• Provide nutrition counseling to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families.
• Supervise Nutrition Services Personnel and participate in daily operations.
• Support objectives of the Food and Nutrition Services department.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager provides total nutritional care as a member of the health care team. The Clinical Dietitian assesses nutritional needs of patients; develops and implements nutritional care plans; communicates information pertinent to the nutritional care of the patient through written records systems. Provides high quality care to patients. Develops and maintains regular and therapeutic meals/menus. Provides nutrition counseling to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families and/or significant other. Participates in the supervision of the Nutrition Services Personnel. The Clinical Dietitian strives daily to fulfill the objectives of the Food and Nutrition Services.
