8a-4:30p / Full Time / 40 Hours

The Clinical Dietitian III regularly assumes responsibility for more complex patients and demonstrates advanced practice competency. Participates in peer mentoring activities and demonstrates expert advanced knowledge in all work areas. Participates in the development and evaluation of patient education materials and educates FNS Staff by conducting education activities per year, including supervision of dietetic interns.

  • Serves on FNS and EHC committees, coordinates workload distribution with clinical staff, and completes performance and quality improvement activities annually.
  • Develops and revises internship curriculum, serves on the Dietetic Internship Selection Committee, and coordinates team activities for process improvements. Develops and implements orientation for new clinical dietitians.
  • Coordinates educational seminars for dietitians or professional staff, contributes articles/newsletters, and develops nutrition-related events. Participates in professional organizations, attends Quality Academy, completes projects, and obtains certificates.
  • Provides evidence of applying at least one new skill or approach annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three or more years of experience as a clinical dietitian, with at least 2 years in an acute care setting.
  • Master's Degree or Specialty Certification (e.g., Board Certified Specialist Gerontological Nutrition, Renal Nutrition, Oncology Nutrition, Obesity and Weight Management, Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, Advanced Practice Certification in Clinical Nutrition).
