Job summary

Mass General Brigham, operating at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge site, seeks a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) to assist the dietitian in providing nutrition services to a broad patient population. This role supports meal selections, between-meal nourishments, and special formulas as required.

Interview patients to identify preferences and allergies; assess calorie counts for DTRs; maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Dietetics required.
• Licenses/Credentials: Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of DTR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists dietitian in the assessment of nutritional needs by obtaining meal selections.
• Interview patients to identify food preferences and allergies.
• DTRs only: Assesses patient calorie counts, percentage of food consumed by the patient, conducts meal rounds, diet restriction monitoring, etc.
• Maintains pertinent records.
