Job summary

McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA, is seeking a Dietitian Assistant to support nutrition services for a broad patient population. You will assist the dietitian with meals, between-meal nourishments, and special formulas as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or Associate's Degree in Dietetics preferred.
• Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR/NDTR) preferred.
• 1–2 years dietetic technician experience preferred.

Essential Functions

• Assists dietitian in the assessment of nutritional needs.
• Interview patients to identify food preferences, allergies, and nutritional status.
• Assesses patient calorie counts, percentage of food consumed by the patient, conducts meal rounds, diet restriction monitoring, etc.
• Maintains pertinent records.
