Alden Group Homes in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking a dedicated dietary worker to prepare and serve meals for residents in an Intermediate Care Facility. You will supervise food production and presentation in compliance with regulations and facility policies.

Key responsibilities include meal planning, portion control, food handling, and maintaining cleanliness. Prior experience is preferred; English literacy and ability to follow written instructions are required. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• One year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable of dietary procedures.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to planned menus, including therapeutic.
• Review menu extensions prior to preparation of foods.
• Suggest menu changes to assist in menu development.
• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and visually appealing.
• Serve food with proper portion control and use standardized recipes.
• Assure resident meal trays are correct and maintain safety practices.
• Complete daily and scheduled cleaning and proper labeling/storage of food.
• Assist in receiving and storing incoming food and supplies.
