Job summary

Serenity Pointe in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Diagnostician to provide comprehensive assessments and develop recovery care plans for persons served in both SUD and MH programs. Responsibilities include diagnostic interviews, DSM knowledge, eligibility determinations, SMART-goal care planning, and timely reporting.

Requires MO licensure (LCSW/LPC) and a Master's degree with at least 1 year of SUD experience.

Qualifications

Licensed MO clinician (LCSW or LPC) in good standing
Minimum 1 year experience in treating persons with substance use disorders
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field

Responsibilities

Review assessment information/documentation completed at intake.
Complete an Eligibility Determination within 24 hours of admission.
Conduct a face-to-face diagnostic interview and complete admission screenings.
Demonstrate knowledge of DSM and diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and mental health disorders.
Develop recovery care plans with SMART goals, objectives and interventions.
Prepare timely written reports to appropriate persons or agencies.
Complete Interpretative Summary based on assessment data and interview.
Collaborate with Clinical Team to assign clients to appropriate services.
Maintain professional competencies through training and education.
Participate in clinical staffing and notes regarding client cooperation and program expectations.
Adhere to evidence-based practice models and agency standards (CARF/DMH).
Abide by policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
